GTO Wizard Review: Solver Library and Trainer

GTO Wizard is where many players first meet solver output without running a solver. It is a study product, permitted everywhere when used away from the table, and one of the most popular poker tools of the last few years.

What it is

How it works

The service has pre-solved enormous trees of spots. You pick a format, a position, an action sequence and a board, and see the solved strategy: frequencies, EVs, ranges. On top of that sit drills (play a spot, get graded against the solution), hand-history analysis, aggregated reports across boards, and a solver for custom spots in the higher tiers.

Strengths

• Instant access to solutions that would take hours to compute yourself.
• Trainer mode turns study into practice with feedback.
• Broad coverage of formats and preflop structures.

Weaknesses

• Solutions are for the site’s chosen abstractions (bet sizes, rake); your game may differ.
• Easy to consume solutions without understanding them.
