Requirements: OS, Emulator, Hardware

The bot is not demanding. Most of the requirements come from the emulator, not from the bot itself.

Operating system

• Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit): primary platform, most tested.
• macOS (Apple silicon or Intel): supported through an Android emulator; a native desktop room client is not needed.
• Linux: experimental. Works with an emulator that supports it, with no support promise from us.

Emulator (for club apps)

The bot reads a fixed window layout, so the emulator and its resolution matter. We ship calibration profiles for a short list of emulator and resolution combinations and publish it in the tester documentation. Running an unlisted emulator means calibrating yourself. Set the emulator to a fixed window size, disable animations where the app allows it, and keep the emulator updated only when we say a build supports the new version.

Hardware

• CPU: any recent quad-core is enough for up to four tables.
• RAM: 8 GB minimum, 16 GB if you run four tables or more, since each emulator instance is heavy.
• Storage: a few gigabytes for the emulator and app; the bot and its logs are small.
• Display: 1080p or higher. A second monitor helps if you want to watch several tables.

Network

A stable connection matters more than a fast one. Disconnections mid-hand are handled by the app, not by the bot, and can cost you the pot. If you use a VPN, understand that many apps flag VPN traffic and some block it outright; that is a detection topic, not a technical one, and is covered in the guides.

Virtual machines

Running the emulator inside a VM works but adds latency and CPU load, and nested virtualisation is not available everywhere. We do not recommend it for the beta.
